Corrosion in pipelines is a frequent phenomenon in power plants and central heating systems. By measuring dissolved oxygen, the engineers and the maintenance crew can get an image of the state of the system and take action in time.
We developed the CountOx system which is capable of continuous monitoring of dissolved oxygen concentrations in the low ppb range. The device, contains a replaceable sensor tube, an optical unit, and a simple precise electronic unit which can measure the fluorescence lifetime of the sensor material with high resolution. (An optional industrial PC unit collects the data and evaluates the measurements.)
CountOx is available with two dynamic ranges; 0-200 ppb or 50-8000 ppb (air saturated solution). A modified version of CountOx, CountOx II is designed for measuring oxygen in gas phase.
